Amanda Squiemphen-Yazzie is a passionate advocate for Indigenous and underserved communities, deeply committed to advancing social change through culturally grounded leadership. She is Wasco, Navajo, Yakama, and a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Raised on her family’s cattle ranch in Warm Springs, Amanda’s upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of community and resilience.
She holds an Associate’s degree from Portland Community College, and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland State University, with a concentration in Practice and Leadership with Communities and Organizations. Amanda has a diverse background in community organizing, public policy, environmental and water rights and Indigenous advocacy.
Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her strategic leadership in campaign management, coalition-building, and project development. She is committed to amplifying the voices and addressing the needs of underserved populations, ensuring that their rights and opportunities for growth are at the forefront of her work.
